Quiet work, properly held.
Sensitive matters are lost in the first week, usually because the wrong firm was engaged by the wrong person for the wrong reason. Beckon does not practise law. We know who should be in the room, and we can reach them today.
Our introductions are made without referral fees, which is the only way an introduction can be honest.
The families who use this well tend to bring us in early, when a matter is still commercial rather than contentious. By the time a dispute has a case number, the range of good outcomes has already narrowed. Most of what we do here is unglamorous and preventive: getting the agreement right, getting the structure right, and making sure the family knows what it has signed.

Choosing counsel rather than accepting a name
The right lawyer for a shareholder dispute in the Bombay High Court is rarely the right lawyer for an arbitration seated in Singapore, and the best-known name in a field is not automatically the right one for your matter. We match counsel to the forum and the specific question, and we negotiate the engagement terms.

Cross-border and NRI matters
Succession where assets sit in two countries, property held in India by a non-resident, foreign judgments needing recognition here, and tax residency questions that turn on day counts. These need counsel on both sides working to one plan, which is coordination work rather than legal work, and it is where most families lose time.

Does Beckon provide legal advice?
No. We are not a law firm and do not advise on the law. We identify and engage counsel, coordinate the work and hold the timeline.
Do you take a referral fee from lawyers?
Never. A commission would decide the recommendation for us, and it would make the recommendation worthless to you.
Can you work alongside our existing legal team?
That is the usual arrangement. We add capacity and coordination, and step back from any matter your general counsel prefers to hold directly.
How is confidentiality maintained?
Matters are handled by a single named concierge. Files are not discussed internally, and Beckon signs a non disclosure undertaking on request before the first conversation.
Can Beckon give legal advice directly?
No. We are not a law firm and we do not give legal opinions. We identify the right counsel, negotiate their engagement, coordinate between firms and jurisdictions, and make sure nothing falls between them. The advice is theirs and the privilege runs to them.
How are fees handled?
You are billed directly by the firm at their rates. We see the engagement letter and the estimate before you sign, and we query scope creep on your behalf. We take nothing from the firm, which is the only arrangement under which our recommendation means anything.
How does a request reach Beckon?
By call, message or WhatsApp to your concierge. There is no form, no ticket number and no queue. One line is enough to begin.
What does membership cost?
Beckon is Rs. 4,00,000 annually with a Rs. 1,00,000 joining fee, exclusive of GST. Beckon Black is by invitation only. Service costs are billed separately at actuals, with no commissions and no markups.
Are service costs marked up?
No. Vendor and supplier invoices are passed to you exactly as received. Beckon is paid by your membership, which is why our recommendation is never for sale.
What are the service hours?
Beckon members are supported from ten in the morning to ten at night, seven days a week. Beckon Black members have a named relationship manager available at every hour.
How is discretion maintained?
Every request is held by a single named concierge. Details are not circulated internally, staff are bound by confidentiality undertakings, and Beckon signs a non disclosure agreement with any member who asks.
Is there a limit on the number of requests?
No. Membership is limited instead. We keep the house small so that no concierge is ever carrying more than they can hold properly.
Can requests be made outside India?
Yes. Our members live and travel across London, Dubai, Singapore, Zurich, New York and the Mediterranean, and we hold relationships in each.
How does one join?
Through introduction by an existing member, or through an application read personally by our secretary. Every applicant meets us before an invitation is extended.
