The principle
Quiet work, properly held.
Most private travel fails on the ground, not in the air. A slot released late, a handler who does not know the principal, a car waiting at the wrong apron. Beckon holds those details so the flight is the least interesting part of the day.
We work with operators we have flown ourselves, on aircraft we have inspected, with crews who are briefed on your household before you reach the terminal.
Two things surprise most families the first time they charter seriously. The first is how much of the cost sits outside the hourly rate: positioning, ground handling, crew duty limits, and parking at the far end. The second is how much of the experience is decided by the handler rather than the aircraft. We quote the whole number up front and choose the handler as carefully as the operator.

International permits and the timing that governs them
Overflight and landing permits for international sectors run on their own clock, and it is not yours. Some jurisdictions need several working days. We begin filing at the moment of instruction rather than after your plans are confirmed, because a permit filed late is the single most common reason a private departure slips.

Air ambulance and urgent medical movement
A separate discipline from charter, with a different aircraft configuration, a medical crew, and a receiving hospital that has to accept the patient before wheels up. We arrange these on the same standing terms, and the conversation moves at the speed the situation requires rather than the speed of a quotation process.

How quickly can an aircraft be arranged?
Within four hours from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai in ordinary conditions. Longer sectors and international departures depend on permits, which we begin filing at the moment of instruction rather than after confirmation.
Do you charge a markup on charter?
No. The operator invoice is passed to you at actuals. Beckon is paid by your membership, which is what allows us to recommend the right aircraft rather than the most profitable one.
Can you manage an aircraft we already own?
Yes. We take on crew rostering, maintenance oversight, hangarage, insurance renewal and regulatory filing, and report on utilisation and cost each month.
Is empty leg availability shared with members?
Positioning flights are offered when the routing genuinely suits you. We do not circulate lists that require you to rearrange your day around an aircraft.
Is chartering worth it against flying first class commercially?
On a single long-haul sector for one or two people, usually not on cost alone. Where it becomes compelling is multi-city days, sectors that commercial schedules serve badly, travelling as a family or team, or when the value of arriving is time-sensitive. We will tell you when a commercial routing is the sensible answer.
How do costs work for an NRI member paying from abroad?
Charter within India is billed in rupees and international sectors typically in dollars. Payment from an overseas account is straightforward, though remittances from an Indian resident individual abroad fall under the RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme and are capped per financial year. We flag the position before booking rather than at settlement.
How does a request reach Beckon?
By call, message or WhatsApp to your concierge. There is no form, no ticket number and no queue. One line is enough to begin.
What does membership cost?
Beckon is Rs. 4,00,000 annually with a Rs. 1,00,000 joining fee, exclusive of GST. Beckon Black is by invitation only. Service costs are billed separately at actuals, with no commissions and no markups.
Are service costs marked up?
No. Vendor and supplier invoices are passed to you exactly as received. Beckon is paid by your membership, which is why our recommendation is never for sale.
What are the service hours?
Beckon members are supported from ten in the morning to ten at night, seven days a week. Beckon Black members have a named relationship manager available at every hour.
How is discretion maintained?
Every request is held by a single named concierge. Details are not circulated internally, staff are bound by confidentiality undertakings, and Beckon signs a non disclosure agreement with any member who asks.
Is there a limit on the number of requests?
No. Membership is limited instead. We keep the house small so that no concierge is ever carrying more than they can hold properly.
Can requests be made outside India?
Yes. Our members live and travel across London, Dubai, Singapore, Zurich, New York and the Mediterranean, and we hold relationships in each.
How does one join?
Through introduction by an existing member, or through an application read personally by our secretary. Every applicant meets us before an invitation is extended.
