Allocation access
Boutique relationships in India, Geneva, London, Dubai and Singapore, with your interests registered properly rather than casually.
Luxury Watches
Allocation access, independent authentication and private sourcing of complications and vintage references.
The principle
Waiting lists are a matter of relationship, and the market for important references runs largely in private.
Beckon sources through dealers and collectors we have transacted with, and every piece is authenticated independently before your money moves.
Two collectors buy the same watch for entirely different reasons, and the advice that suits one is wrong for the other. If you are buying to wear it, condition and how it feels on the wrist should decide it. If you are buying as an asset, provenance and papers decide it, and the wrong reference at the right price is still the wrong purchase.
What we arrange
01
Boutique relationships in India, Geneva, London, Dubai and Singapore, with your interests registered properly rather than casually.
02
Complications, discontinued references and vintage pieces located through collectors and dealers, approached without your name attached.
03
Independent verification of movement, case, dial and papers by watchmakers with no interest in the sale.
04
Servicing, insurance valuation, secure transport and estate cataloguing for the collection you already hold.
05
Independent authentication before purchase, particularly on the secondary market where service replacements, redialled faces and married movements are common and are not always disclosed. Condition, originality and service history verified by a watchmaker rather than accepted from a listing.
06
Watches bought abroad and brought into India are subject to customs duty above the permitted allowance, and declaring properly is materially cheaper than the alternative if you are stopped. For collectors travelling regularly, a documented carnet or declaration record avoids the same conversation at every arrival.
The Beckon standard
Questions, answered once
Sometimes, through the secondary market at a premium, and sometimes through allocation over time. We will tell you which of the two you are being offered.
By independent watchmakers who are paid by us, not by the seller, examining movement, case, dial, lume and papers, with a written report to you.
Yes. Customs, duty and lawful documentation are handled properly. We do not arrange informal carriage of high value pieces.
Yes, including registration, condition reporting, telephone bidding and settlement, so your name does not appear in the room.
A narrow band of references from a few makers have held or grown in value. Most watches, including many expensive ones, depreciate like any other luxury good. Buy because you want to wear it, and treat any appreciation as a pleasant accident rather than the plan.
Often cheaper before duty, and sometimes still cheaper after. What matters is declaring it correctly on the way in and keeping the paperwork, because an undeclared piece is both a legal risk and an asset you cannot easily sell or insure later.
Yes. Auction, dealer or a private sale to a known collector each suit different pieces, and the right route can differ by tens of percent on the same watch. We benchmark the offers you receive rather than let you accept the first, and for a collection we will usually recommend selling in parts over time rather than all at once.
