Club memberships in India work on a logic that is not written down anywhere. Some transfer freely and trade at a known figure. Some transfer only with committee approval, which is a polite way of saying somebody has to want you there. A few do not transfer at all, and the waiting list is the only route in.
Knowing which is which, and who to speak to in each case, is most of what this service is. The rest is being honest about which memberships are worth holding. A club with a beautiful course and a dying membership is a worse asset than a plainer one that people actually attend.
For members who travel, the more useful question is often reciprocity rather than ownership. A single well-chosen membership with strong reciprocal arrangements can open more doors than three held separately.
