Every serious sporting event has two markets. There is the one you can buy into, and there is the one where the constraint is not price at all but who is asking. The second is smaller, quieter, and it is where the experience people actually describe afterwards happens.
The distinction matters because the difference in cost between a very good seat and genuine access is often smaller than people assume, while the difference in the day is enormous. A grandstand at a Grand Prix is a fine afternoon. The paddock is a different sport.
We are candid about lead times, because they are long and they are not negotiable. A final that has just become interesting is the hardest ticket of the year, and anyone promising it casually is either reselling something they do not hold or charging you for the privilege of disappointment.
